HOT DOCS addresses several important issues in parent training. HOT DOCS provides evidence-based, short-term, and low cost intervention for caregivers of children with behavior problems, and training opportunities for professionals. HOT DOCS has been adapted for telehealth and a pilot study evaluated the efficacy of internet-HOT DOCS.

DOCS K-5 expands on HOT DOCS to support caregivers of school-age children. DOCS K-5 has been adapted to telehealth. This project is important because it brings low-cost, short-term behavioral parent training intervention to community settings.

This project aims to increase tools for early screening for ASD in the primary care setting using artificial intelligence. We are screening toddlers 18-36 months through a play-based assessment to record social-communication behavior of typical children, children with developmental delays, and children with developmental delays and suspected ASD.
